Top Client Beers and Events for Halloween 2017

With Halloween 2017 right around the corner, we at VicinityBrew Software would like to take this opportunity to feature the notable, seasonal brews and events from our clients to try out for the holiday.

Halloween Beers

    1. Payette Brewing – Slaughterhouse
      • Description: Named after Boise’s Slaughterhouse Gulch and its historical meat packing businesses, this brew is as bold and rugged as the miners and packers that traveled its path when it was known as “The Oregon Trail”. This fall seasonal is an India Red Ale featuring Amarillo hops, known for their dark, fruity characteristics. While higher in alcohol by volume, a roasted malt base offsets the hops and balances the heat of the alcohol for a subtle, rich finish.
      • ABV: 7.5%
      • IBU: 70

 

    1. Fat Bottom Brewing – Firestarter
      • Description: We put our spin on the classic porter by using Pecan smoked malt, smoked wheat, and real pumpkin. It’s velvety on the palate, and finishes with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and real vanilla. It’s just like drinking the Autumn season in a glass!
      • ABV: 6.5%
      • IBU: 30
    2. Fire Island Beer – Pumpkin Barrel Ale
      • Description: An intriguing array of spices and a ton of real pumpkin gives Pumpkin Barrel Ale a complex, celebratory flavor that’s as laid-back as the season itself.
      • ABV: 4.8%
    3. Catawba Brewing® – White Zombie White Ale
      • Description: We named this beer as a Halloween seasonal brew. But its refreshing taste makes it a year round staple. Zombie is made according to the Belgian Witbier tradition of using unmalted wheat to create the light body and white sheen. Additions of coriander and orange peel give Zombie a fruity and spicy character, while the hops are subtle and lightly detected. Don’t be scared to blow the head off a Zombie and drink up!
      • ABV: 5.1%
      • IBU: 7
  1. Flying Dog Brewery – The Fear Imperial Pumpkin Ale
    • Description: Brewed with local pumpkin puree and a secret blend of spices. The Fear has bold pumpkin pie flavor complemented by graham cracker and chocolate notes. Embrace The Fear and achieve greatness.
    • ABV: 9.0%
    • IBU: 45

 

Halloween Events

    1. Payette Brewing – Halloween & Slaughterhouse Bash
      • Details: Get spooky with Payette Brewing! Celebrate Halloween with a FREE beer, lots of Salughterhouse and Halloween movies screening all night long. If you show up in a costume, your first beer is on us. (Limitations apply on beer selection.) Halloween done the right way!
      • When: Tuesday, October 31 at 5PM
      • Where: Payette Brewing Company
    2. Catawba Brewing – Nightmare on South Slope
      • Details: Our next theme night is going to be a scary one – Nightmare On South Slope. All the songs will have some sort of creepy element to them to help celebrate the scariest time of the year. We will also hold a best costume contest – winner will receive a 6 pack of brew and will get to choose an upcoming theme.
      • When: Monday, October 30 at 5:30 PM
      • Where: Catawba Brewing Co., South Slope Asheville
